Jo and I decided it was uncomfortable to watch, and you had to remind yourself that the video's creator did nothing illegal. The detective showed what he must have regarded as great restraint, though I think that somewhere in the back of his mind he wondered if some internal agency was trying to set him up. He also was having trouble working out that he had no real justification for ordering the man off the parking lot. I think it was a worthy exercise in reminding ourselves that the police actually do work for us, and how when the tables are turned and they ask citizens these kinds of questions, just how obnoxious it really is.
That's how it i saw it too. It was very uncomfortable watching the cop posturing and threatening that fellow, especially knowing so many people have been killed by the police for questioning their power.
