Ashes and Snow by Gregory Colbert

I can't watch HD on my Internet connection, but I managed to buffer about a minute and a half and watch. Very inspiring. I can't wait until I "fire" AT&T and get some real Internet from the cable TV people.

Oh damn. You're missing a good one. It just gets better.... sigh. You're in Kansas, right? K.C. has some of the fastest internet in the country. Google Fiber, which should be available to you, has speeds up to a gigabyte per second. You really ought to consider switching.

Google gigabyte

Yes, I would seriously, like for a second or two, consider KC just for the sweet sweetness that is Google Fiber. If I had a soul, I would surely sell it for that.

Ahhhhh....poor Mr. Donut. I'm sure we could scrounge up a soul for you here at the Invisible Theatre but not if you're just going to turn right around and sell it to that Mrs. Google.

Google fiber is not currently available in my area. Neither is AT&T's "U-verse," nor their high-speed DSL. (Above 1.5Mb/s download speeds.)
All of us here in Kansas City are mystified as to why Google chose us as they did. My theory is that when/if it fails, as an economic model, they will just go away, and since nobody really cares about Kansas City, there will be no repercussions. We will then tear down the fiber from poles and use it for building material, or to make fencing for our cattle pens.
