Snoring bird

A bird is snoring somewhere out along Alligator Creek tonight. It's a soft chittering sound. Maybe birds don't snore. I don't know. I don't care. In my mind's eye I see a bird napping in the mangroves, head resting on its chest, beak nestled in its feathers, snoring away under the remnant of this year's Harvest Moon. Even two nights later, it was about the biggest, orangest moonrise I've ever seen. I wonder if birds dream about the moon.

I hope, at least, that if birds DO snore, and I haven't heard one yet, they do a kind of warbling, twittering whistle upon exhalation.

So, when I hit my head, little chirping birds fly around it, but what happens to birds who hit their heads, like on real clean windows or whatever? What circles their heads?

Everyone dreams about the moon. When you look up and see it, you're really dreaming about it.
Contrary to the astrological naysayers, whatever is going on, the evolution of our intelligence is intertwined with the rhythms and sights of the cosmos. It is how we think, or one way, and to deny it is to handicap ourselves, perhaps.

I was going to write a post, but decided to do a comment instead. OR, it worked out that way.

Roy: Yes. That's exactly how the snore sounded and very rhythmical. And charming.

Paula: Wowsers is definitely the right word.
